CDK GYENCHA exists as a living bridge between Bhutan’s rich textile heritage and the possibilities of contemporary, sustainable clothing. Our purpose is not simply to create garments, but to honor and preserve the knowledge, skill, and stories embedded in each weave — the wisdom carried by generations of artisans, mostly women, who have nurtured these traditions quietly, from home to home, over centuries.

We believe that fashion can be a force for positive change. Home-based weavers — many of whom are single mothers or caretakers — are empowered to work with dignity, receive fair income, and preserve the craft that is as much a part of their identity as it is of Bhutan’s cultural heritage.
